Alma is from New Mexico where she learned that connection with nature is a part of healing, decolonization, and joy. She has been biking and camping since she was young, and particularly loves trips that bring her closer to mountains and hot springs. Alma was introduced to Out Our Front Door through her work in disability justice and first started volunteering with the Adaptive Program. Alma hopes to help connect people to their natural environment and build a sense of place and shared responsibility toward the Earth. Off the bike she enjoys dancing, urban farming and discussing digital security.
