​The Out Our Front Door Organization is inviting the public to join a Bike Your Park Day ride on September 30, 2017 – a national event that encourages people to explore nearby parks and public lands by bicycle on the same day.

​A good morning inoculation with mesic rich prairies, wild sours, and ecological restoration as we bike from Plant Chicago to the Burnham Nature Sanctuary.

We will join the Burnham team to restore this hidden slice of oak savanna and mesic prairie with rich in native flora by bike! Some will collect, others will sow seed, all will come to know this beautiful 100 acre site.

From the streets and into the woods: Come satisfy your woodland soul as we tred lightly into ecological restoration for a hands on experience that will grow for a lifetime. Featuring: The House Of OOFD, Serbians of Sunnyday Tap, and The NBT Project.

On Thursday May 18th stop in BFF Bikes for an OOFD Bike Camp Movie Night: A locally produced documentary showcasing how the historical journey of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore came to be —"Shifting Sands: On the Path to Sustainability" 

​After the film, join documentarian and Co-Producer Tom Desch for a Q&A, and check out regional bike maps & routes. Then go bike camping this season to discover first-hand about a place which exists outside all our front doors, the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
